| Description: |  I suggest the use of the credit card feature to my customers for accepting wires, direct deposits and EFT payments from their customers. Why the credit card feature? Well, you can setup a “credit card” called “Wire”, mark that you accept it from customers, and mark that it’s a Bankcard. Then when entering the payment, mark the payment received as a credit card, lookup the “Wire” card and the money will automatically appear in the bank account when posted. I also encourage my customers to enter data as it actually occurred with the actual dates. GP should not be just be used for financial statements, it should be a living breathing source of information. It’s easier to look something up in an inquiry window or smartlist than to go to a filing cabinet and dig through the files!  |
