Weekly Dynamic: Budget Wizard Bug in GP10 http://msdynamicsgp.blogspot.com/2008/07/weekly-dynamic-budget-wizard-bug-in.html
We came across 2 bugs in The Budget Wizard for Excel function recently. Partnersource was being very unreliable so we finally had to give up and ask for help. This issue does occur even with SP2 in GP 10.
If you create an Excel budge file using the wizard and then try to import it back in an error message occurs indicating that the number of columns in the sheet doesn't match the…

gptip42day - Cross-Year Budgets in GP10 http://gp2themax.blogspot.com/2009/09/gptip42day-cross-year-budgets-in-gp10.html
In GP versions 9 and prior, use of a single Budget ID was limited to the periods that defined a fiscal year. GP10 changes all that.
For instance, let's say you have a project that spans 18 months. You want to be able to enter a budget for the accounts associated with that project, all…

Where, Oh, Where Has My Budget Gone? http://dynamicsgpland.blogspot.com/2010/03/where-oh-where-has-my-budget-gone.html
As we approach the end of the first quarter, many users are starting to revise budgets and forecast for the remaining part of the year. Normally we get at least one call, if not a couple, from users who have accidentally deleted or modified their budgets unintentionally. First, let's talk about the Budget Maintenance window, accessed from Cards>>Financial>>Budget and then choosing Open>>Using Microsoft Dynamics GP or New>>Using Microsoft Dynamics GP.
When you use this window, it is important to note that you are modifying the ENTIRE BUDGET unless you stipulate a range using…

gptip42day - Importing Budgets from Excel http://gp2themax.blogspot.com/2009/12/gptip42day-importing-budgets-from-excel.html
If you receive errors when trying to import budgets from Excel into GP, try this little trick. Instead of using your own Excel sheet, export an existing budget from GP into Excel, delete the budget detail from that budget and copy your budget detail into the template.
Cards>Financial>Budgets

Can't Import Excel Budget?? http://dynamicsconfessions.blogspot.com/2009/12/cant-import-excel-budget.html

Have you ever been thanked for…
