Several development tools are available that can be used to customize and create integrations for Microsoft Dynamics GP. Getting started with Development in GP? 

If you are getting started with Development in Dynamics GP, here’s a fantastic post by MVP David Musgrave for Choosing a Development Tool. In this post he explains some points to think before choosing your Development tool with so many options available to integrate with or customize the application.

Dexterity

In the Dexterity sub section, you can find helpful posts to get started with Dexterity, deploying chunk files after creating them with Dexterity, what new has been released in the Dexterity with latest GP offerings. This post by MVP David Musgrave Dex-How to get started with Dexterity will get you started. Another great post from him lists Some Dexterity Samples available at PartnerSource and CustomerSource for download. You can see post about Dexterity and IntelliSense by MVP Mariano Gomez. In the post he explains how intellisense can be made possible with Dexterity. There are some other very useful articles for Translating Dexterity Code and Translating Dexterity Applications Series by MVP David Musgrave. In this fantastic post, Mariano Gomez shows Calling SQL Server stored procedures from Microsoft Dexterity. There are some excellent posts by David Musgrave - Writing Multi-Lingual Dexterity Code, Checklist for creating a new Dexterity Window, Understanding Cross Dictionary Dexterity Development, Any Font in the Dexterity Script Editor. Testing

VBA

In the VBA sub section, you can find posts about changing the appearance of GP windows, adding new or hiding data fields or controls from GP windows, adding new business rules using VBA with Modifier. VS Tools

In the VS Tools sub section, you can find posts about installing Visual Studio tools, modifying a GP form using VS Tools, and adding new business rules in GP. To get started with the VS tools you will find some very interesting posts by Mariano Gomez Getting started with Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP -- Adventures of a Microsoft Dexterity developer, Getting Started with VST: WinForms and Controls. And then there are some great articles from Patrick Roth in which he explained How to Modify the Home Page. Another great example by Mariano where he uses VS Tools to display Amount in Words on SOP Entry window. Dave Dusk points out some Performance Issue in VS Tools that might be helpful while planning for using VS Tools.
